 Description

Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to center with an octagonal old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.70 carats, further set with thirty four round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.34 carats, to a striking coronet cluster featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by openwork trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification services report #80252-04.
