'Bossingham' Medieval Garnet ring, circa 13th century.
'Bossingham' Medieval garnet ring. Set to centre with a oval cabochon natural garnet in a closed back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to a smooth oval bezel leading to solid rounded shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 1.92g in weight, circa 13th century AD.
Disclaimed under the Treasure Act with reference no. M&ME 297. Found while searching with a metal detector in Bossingham, Kent, UK, on 14th September 2000.
