Belle Époque sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, surrounded by a row of twenty round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, further encircled by twenty five round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.70 carats, to an elegant double row cluster with millegrain and polished edging, an intricately pierced openwork gallery featuring scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, flanked by ridged raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, numbered '8154', French, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81286-05.
