Art Nouveau diamond solitaire ring. Set with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.58 carats, to an ornate scrolling openwork design, slightly raised claws, round open backholing, flanked by engraved and carved shoulders and leading to a chamfered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1890.
