 Description

Art Deco diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond, D colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 1.97 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked by four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.72 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.69 carats, to a geometric flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws and polished edges, a structural gallery and fancy rectangular open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested platinum, circa 1930, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #6234157688.
