 Description

Art Deco onyx and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a rectangular step-cut natural onyx in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.22 carats, further set with four calibre cut onyx in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats, and decorated with eighteen round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate onyx weight is 0.25 carats, to a geometric cluster design featuring millegrain edging, an intricately pierced scalloped gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shank. Tested platinum, circa 1925.
