 Description

Diamond and ruby heart shape cluster ring. Centrally set with a drop shape rose cut diamond in an open back platinum millegrain setting with a weight of 0.20 carats, encircled by two rows of round old cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back yellow gold grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carat, with a row of round rose cut diamonds in between and further set to the shoulders, thirty seven in total with a combined weight of 0.37 carats in open back platinum grain settings. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.57 carats, to an elegant heart shape openwork cluster with an ornate gallery and intricate pierced backholing, flanked by split petal motif shoulders to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1900.
