Yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 12.23 carats, flanked by six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, to a geometric flank solitaire design featuring split claw detail, a structured openwork gallery and pierced open backholing, flowing through to raised shoulders and leading to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-3268.
