Yellow sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon yellow sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.00 carats, decorated with four round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.08 carats, to a elongated oval finely pierced collet with curving claws and fancy shaped backholing, flaked by split open shoulders bearing elegant leaf motifs which terminate to a solid squared shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, circa 1910.
