Edwardian diamond cluster ring. Horizontally set with five cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back cut down settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.30 carats, encircled by twenty three cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back cut down settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.30 carats, to a conforming cluster design featuring openwork details, stylised settings and open backholing, leading to carved shoulders and flowing through to a tapering half round shank. Tested yellow gold, maker's mark W & S for Wilson & Sharp, English, circa 1906.
