Antique Ceylon yellow sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 6.30 carats, surrounded by fourteen round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster featuring curving claws, scalloped edges, an intricately pierced gallery with scrolling details and fancy open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, tested yellow gold, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79203-43.
