Solitaire diamond ring with diamond set shoulders. Centrally set to with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.85 carats, flanked by twenty round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.15 carats, to an elegant solitaire design with curving claws, millegrain edging, a pierced gallery and circular open backholing, the ridged shoulders dividing two diamond set rows, tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950.
