Yellow Ceylon sapphire ring. Set with one large octagonal scissor cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 15.00 carats, to a bombé design featuring a pierced gallery, shaped backholing and open stylized shoulders which continue down to an open work shank. Tested 18 carat rose gold, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5775-1179.
