Description
Vintage St Christopher pendant. A yellow gold oval medal plaque with raised relief depicting on the obverse St Christopher holding a staff with Christ on his back, who is holding a golden orb, on the reverse is engraved the initials "H.P" and "18-8-1965", fitted with oval link to top, approximately 3.2cm in length. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, approximately 13 grams in weight, signed 'BECKER', indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1960.
Edmond-Henri Becker was a French engraver, wood carver, jeweler and sculptor. He was born in 1871.
St Christopher is the patron saint of travellers. He is believed to protect people on their journey.
