Vintage yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.52 carats, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the raised trumpeting shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested platinum, full hallmarks for London, makers mark 'B.K.T.' for Bennel, King and Titmas, numbered 'S4129', circa 1966, accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #16750.
