Set slightly raised to centre with an oval old cutnatural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.50 carats, flanked by six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back claw settings to an outward spray with a combined weight of 1.00 carat, further set to top and bottom with fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings to two alternating rows with a combined weight of 1.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.40 carats, to an impressive radiating cluster design featuring curving claws, a structured linear openwork gallery and fancy backholing, the raised inwardly tapering tri-split shoulders flowing to a solid ridged shank. Markedplatinum, maker's mark 'Cartier Paris', numbered '10675', French, circa 1960, accompanied by GPL report #07308.
