Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.80 carats, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.45 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced geometric gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting split shoulders leading to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79232-19.
