Victorian sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with three cushion shape old cutnatural unenhanced sapphires in open backclaw settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.50 carats, further adorned with four round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, to a seven stone design featuring curving claws, an intricately carved gallery with a scrolling motif and fancy open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders tapering to a solid shank. Marked yellow gold, maker's mark 'L&L' for Lawrence & Lingard of Birmingham, numbered '7653', partial hallmarks for Birmingham, English, circa 1890.
