Description

Victorian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.80 carats, encircled by eight round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.20 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the raised tapering shoulders supported by cheniers, flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81318-21.
