Victorian ruby and diamond ring. Set with three cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Siam rubies in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.45 carats, interspersed with four round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.12 carats, to a carved half hoop design feturing curving claws and polished metalwork, an intricately pierced gallery with ridged detail and open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, numbered '8638', maker's mark 'LB&G', partial English hallmarks, English, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-566.
