Victorian old minediamond earrings. A matching pair, each set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open backclaw setting, two in total, one with a weight of 0.45 carats, the other with a weight of 0.48 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.93 carats, to an elegant drop earring with curving claws, an openwork gallery and circular backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hook and clasp, approximately 1.5cm in length. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1850.
