Victorian five stone old minediamond ring. Set to the centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 0.80 carats, further set with two cushion shaped old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.40 carats, further adorned with two cushion shaped old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats, further decorated with ten round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.10 carats, to an elegant five stone design with curving claws, intricately carved gallery and round open backholing, flanked by trumpeting grooved shoulders flowing through to a solid grooved tapering shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1880.
