Victorian five stone diamond and ruby ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.10 carats, further set with two round rose cut dimonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats, alternated by two round old cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.16 carats, to an articulated five stone design featuring square collets with a central undulating edge, a polished gallery and circular open backholing, flanked by broad integrated shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat gold, makers mark for Walter & George Myers, numbered '5231', full English hallmarks from Birmingham, circa 1870.
