Description

Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back cut-down setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, encircled by ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and cut-down settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The approximate total diamond weight is 1.50 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring stylised claw detail, an intricately pierced gallery with scalloped motifs, and open backholing, leading to tri-split shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1880.
