Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Set centrally with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.75 carats, encircled by eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and cut-down settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.55 carats, to a floral coronet cluster design featuring polished edges, a smooth gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to broad trumpeting shoulders with carved scrolling curlicues and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, English, circa 1850.
