Victorian diamond and garnetdrop earrings. A matching pair, each set with five shield shape rose cutdiamonds in closed backgrain settings, ten in total with a combined approximate weight of 0.10 carats, set to the centre of a round carbuncle garnet in a closed back rubover setting, two in total, to an elegant drop earring flowing with movement, featuring a intricate star motif set to the centre of a domed oval pendant, highlighted by double twisted rope borders, fitted to bottom with seven articulated and graduating fringes, suspended from an articulated polished drop shape surmount and fitted to reverse with a secure hook fitting, approximately 5.4cm from top of hook. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890.
