Victorian sapphire and diamond five stone ring. Horizontally set with three cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.85 carats, alternated by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.45 carats, to a carved half hoop design featuring curving claws, a ridged gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked yellow gold, makers mark 'W.H.S', English, hallmarks for Birmingham, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #5782-1072.
