Victorian Colombianemerald and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with an octagonal emerald-cutnatural and unenhanced Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement and minor clarity enhancement in an open backrubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.13 carats, encircled by a single row of twelve cushion shape old minediamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, to a square coronet cluster design with polished edges, a finely pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by foliate motif split trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid slim shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, indistinctly numbered, circa 1890, accompanied by C. Dunaigre Switzerland report #1809489.
