Victorian Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.70 carats, further set with thirteen round old cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.04 carats, all to an oval coronet cluster featuring stylised claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested 21 carat yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80246-72.
