Van Cleef & Arpels Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.25 carats, encircled by twenty two round brilliant cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats, further bordered by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.32 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.82 carats, to a bombé floraform cluster featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and tapering down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, signed 'VAN CLEEF & ARPELS', numbered 'B.9344', circa 1960, accompanied by Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #07622.
