Set to centre with a natural unenhanced oval star sapphire cabochon in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 10.00 carats, encircled by an outward spray of fourteen split collets set with alternating rows of fourteen rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back half rubover settings with a combined weight of 2.00 carats, and fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds in open back half rubover and claw settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.70 carats, with the sapphire displaying the optical phenomenon of asterism, all set to a ballerina cluster with a structured linear gallery smoothly conforming to the finger, with pierced backholing and split shoulders tapering down to a ridged shank. Tested platinum, circa 1950.
