Description

Edwardian silver toast rack by James Dixon & Sons. The toast rack is composed of six compartments divided by a pierced arch style frame supporting a central shield shaped carrying handle. It has a rectangular rounded shaped base with a plain central strut, the lower portion of the toast rack is embellished with a scalloped border, measures approximately 7cm in height and 11.2cm in length, weighs approximately 134g. Marked silver, maker's mark for James Dixon & Sons, full hallmark's for Sheffield, English, circa 1906.
