Description
Saxon garnetsolitaire ring. Set to centre with a flat circular garnet in a closed backrubover setting, to a solitaire design featuring granulation beading to the cardinal points, polished edges and closed backholing flowing through to a smooth conforming solid double twist filigree band. Tested yellow gold, circa 8th-10th century AD, accompanied by a letter from former owner detailing descent.
