Set with one round old cutnatural unenhanced sapphire in an open backgrain and rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further set with one round old cut diamond in an open back grain and rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.20 carats, flanked by two round rose cutdiamonds in closed back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats, and further decorated with two round old cut natural unenhanced rubies in close back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.24 carats, to an intertwined snake design featuring light engraved detail to the heads and open backholing, leading to a smooth shoulders and flowing though to a double shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1920.
