Burmese sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a drop shape double brilliant cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.40 carats, bordered by a row of fifteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced scalloped gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by tri-split shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80269-60.
