Sapphire and diamond crossover ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back seven claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, further adorned with a round old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back eight claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, bordered to the shoulders with ten round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.10 carats, to a sophisticated cross over design with curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the scrolling shoulders with millegrain detail, leading down to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, French import mark, circa 1905.
