Sapphire and diamond crossover ring. Set to centre with one round old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.55 carats, further set to centre with one round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, highlighted with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.64 carats, to a fancy crossover design with curving claws, a pierced gallery and open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders tapering to a solid ridged D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat rose gold with platinum settings, French, circa 1910.
