Edwardian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a single round old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.87 carats, encircled by ten cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to a circular coronet cluster featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and tapering through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, numbered '196', English, circa 1915.
