Sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.10 carats, further set with fourteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-1422.
