Sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set with a natural unenhanced oval old cut Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, further set with four tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further adorned with six round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.90 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.10 carats, to an elegant oval stepped cluster design, featuring curving claws, a structured pierced gallery and intricate backholing, flanked by trumpeted shoulders flowing down to a solid D-shape tapered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1970, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80269-84.
