Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, surrounded by twenty eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to an ornate cluster design featuring millegrain borders, a decoratively pierced gallery with chenier detail and open backholing, leading to angular trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid tapering chamfered edge shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80262-10.
