Royal Blue Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Royal Blue Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.81 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, to a geometric flanked solitaire design, featuring curving corner claws, an intricately pierced openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, the raised structured shoulders with chenier details flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, English, circa 1935, accompanied by Gem Research Swiss Lab (GRS) report #GRS2015-081194.
