Pink Burmese sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced pink Burmese sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.75 carats, encircled by eighteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.36 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring millegrain borders, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to solid shoulders with carved detail and flowing through to a smooth D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #18470.
