Description

Pearl and diamond cross over ring. Set diagonally with a round natural saltwater pearl, approximately 6.8-6.9 x 5.7mm, and one round old cut diamond, approximately I/J colour and VS1/VS2 clarity, with a weight of 1.30 carats in an open back claw setting, enhanced with a further ten round single cut diamonds, approximately I/J colour and SI1/SI2 clarity, with a combined weight of 0.35 carats in open back grain set box collet settings and open back grain settings. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.65 carats, to an elegant cross over form with a finely pierced gallery and fancy backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat white gold with platinum settings, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services jewellery report #5776-6868.
