Ornate Art Deco diamond ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back four claw setting with a weight of 0.85 carats, flanked by four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, and further enhanced by fourteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.14 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.13 carats, to a finely modelled horizontal cluster design with millegrain decoration to the borders, the scalloped gallery and fancy backholing proceeding to richly engraved shoulders, terminating in a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, maker's mark 'GK', numbered 'L35' and 'A .10', American, circa 1935.
