Old mine fancy colour diamond solitaire ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine cut fancy yellowish brown diamond, VS2 clarity, with an approximate weight of 1.61 carats in an open back claw setting, to an elegant solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to engraved shoulders with a decorative foliate motif and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum and palladium, indistinct makers mark, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81278-12.
