Old mine diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, encircled by eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, flanked by four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.36 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.66 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to broad shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, tested platinum, circa 1905.
