Victorian old mine diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, further set with twenty two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.20 carats, to a conforming coronet cluster design featuring polished edges, a ridged gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting etched shoulders flowing down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1880.
