Old mine diamond coronet cluster ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine diamond to centre in an open back split claw setting with a weight of 1.10 carats, encircled by a single row of fourteen round old single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with fine rubover edging and a combined weight of 0.25 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.35 carats, to an elegant cushion shape cluster with an ornate curving openwork gallery and intricate pierced fluted backholing, flanked by inward tapered shoulders to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, English, circa 1935.
