Old cut diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, J colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 1.81 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked by six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.91 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, a decorative gallery with geometric motifs, and open backholing, leading to raised inwardly tapering shoulders with cheniers, and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2221772388.
